“The gestures of passing strangers are fleeting. These drawings are a habit of my commute—every face has a story.”
– Andrew Salkewicz
For the past eight months, Andrew Salkewicz has been sketching people on his daily commute—quick drawings of strangers, caught in quiet moments between stops. What started as a small habit turned into a larger body of work, capturing the rhythm of the city through faces and postures that usually go unnoticed.
Together, we looked through all his sketches and picked 90 of our favorites, along with a few photos that show his process. This book is a look at the beauty in passing moments—and the way we’re all part of the same daily flow, even if just for a few minutes.
